Oslo Open

Oslo Open is an independent artist-run non-profit organization that was established in the year 2000 by artists and several local and national art institutions. The main task of Oslo Open is organizing an annual event where artists from the fields of visual art and contemporary craft open the doors to their studios for one weekend in April. We have been working with Oslo Open since 2021 when we were brought in to redesign its visual identity.

Central in the campaign stands photographs from Jan Khür who captured several artists' spaces in and around Oslo. The core photography-concept was to show the viewer how an artistic space could look like –in detailed close-ups but also wide views– an environment that is potentially unknown to the visitor of Oslo Open. Parabol Studio created various posters, animations, a map-fold out, signage, scarves and more.
